Imagine Prep students were very honored to have Mr. Don Logan come speak at our school. Mr. Logan is the Director of Cultural Diversity for the City of Scottsdale. Some of you may remember Mr. Logan receiving a bomb in the mail a few years back. When it blew up, it not only injured Mr. Logan, but also many others in the building. Although Mr. Logan received numerous injuries, as soon as he was well enough to return to work, he was back at his desk educating people about diversity. He strength of courage and his sense of community is an inspiration to us all. We look forward to him speaking to our students in the coming years.

The Prep's Purpose
The Prep exists to partner with families to educate and inspire thoughtful, engaged students and leaders who graduate well-prepared for college, career, and citizenship.
The Prep's Promise
The Prep empowers students to learn at the speed of personal potential... and live up to it. Our emphasis on diversity, limited enrollment, high expectations, and culture of personalization ensures that each student is well-known and fully engaged.
The Prep's Plan
The Prep assists each student in transitioning from challenging academics to early college initiative to workplace competence through personalized instruction, project-based learning, and real-world experiences.
The Prep's Process
The Prep defines student success through MASTERY - Math, Arts, Science, Technology, Ethics/Economics, Research/Real-World Applications, and Year-long senior projects. Each student attains competency in every lesson in each subject before moving ahead. Mastery is achieved by experiencing a rigorous, college-prep curriculum, exploring concepts and engaging in research, and making real-world applications through year-long projects. Concepts mastered are demonstrated through student-selected exhibitions of learning.
The Prep's Principles
The Prep's Principles are organized around three equally important concepts: The "I Factor," with the emphasis on individualized learning and achievement; "WOW" - Windows on the World, enabling students to explore the world of work; and "AWE" – Imagine Prep's integrated approach to Assessment, Workmanship, and Exhibitions of Learning. From these seminal ideas come multiple benefits to our students. The "I Factor" ensures that teachers and students can know each other well. "WOW" links learning to career choices and life pathways. "AWE" focuses on the rigorous Imagine Prep Curriculum - MASTERY, coupled with our technology-enriched coursework and Smart Lab, an applied Science lab where students experience project based learning. This vital combination culminates in success for every student.

About Imagine Schools
Imagine Schools is an organization, comprised mostly of teachers, that operates 51 public charter schools and independent schools in 11 states and the District of Columbia.
Our mission is to help parents and guardians educate their children by creating learning communities of achievement and hope. Imagine Schools was founded with the goal of restoring vision and purpose to schools and returning parents and guardians to full participation in the education of their children.
Imagine Schools' founders, Dennis and Eileen Bakke, are passionate about making a difference in education by applying a unique organizational and operational structure guided by shared values of integrity, justice, and fun. This approach puts teachers and school leaders squarely in charge of the decisions affecting the schools and students they serve.
At Imagine Schools we believe in accountability and continual improvement. Our 6 Measures of Excellence are the yardsticks we use to evaluate our effectiveness in providing a challenging, effective program of study and strong moral development in a safe, nurturing environment. We have established criteria for evaluating ourselves and our schools in each area. We grade ourselves annually on how we are performing - where we are excelling and where we can improve.
